The Brief
The world’s specialized machining and fabrication providers compete fiercely to provide services to customers in the oil exploration industry. Since the company opened its doors in 1997, Drilmaco has been profiting from Singapore’s strategic location and global financial status, and has since developed into one of the most innovative, technologically advanced and dynamic companies in the world. By 2013, Drilmaco recognized that its brand and visual identity system were not reflecting their vision and extended line of service offerings adequately. BLANC was appointed to reinvigorate the Drilmaco brand; to give a new lift to its brand identity and bring greater meaning to the brand at every possible touch point.
What We Did
We drew together Drilmaco’s brand vision and values into a single brand positioning: “Technological ingenuity of the highest order”. Next we focus on developing a visual language around it that would bring meaning and clarity to Drilmaco’s proposition. This project was highly collaborative, holding frequent ‘ideation sessions’ in which initial sketches and ideas were discussed informally with key executives before subsequent development and presentation to the Drilmaco Board of Directors. BLANC delivered a major overhaul which focused on strategic positioning, a refreshed brand identity, website, corporate feature films and printed collaterals.
The Impact
Since the launch of the new brand identity, there has been excellent and enthusiastic feedback from key customers and stakeholders. With the success of this brand rejuvenation project, BLANC has also been retained to develop additional marketing and advertising campaigns, as well as other key investor collateral.
